Jules Charakoglou
Jules Charakoglou, professionally known as Jules, is a Greek contemporary artist and creator based in London. With a BA degree in 3D animation and fine art and several years of hands-on experience in theater production, he channels technical precision and narrative craft into a multidisciplinary practice encompassing contemporary pop art and sculpture.
His latest collection, Faces, combines digital vector paintings and oil pastel portraits of characters that inhabit the compelling space between opposites. It is characterized by a poetic flow of repeated figurative figures—deceptively identical yet each uniquely distinct, deceptively automated yet originally hand-elaborated—creating a rich synergy of images and emotions open to multiple interpretations.
His distinctive approach transforms old forgotten frames blended with digital techniques into tactile, character-driven worlds that blur boundaries between fine art and popular culture. Jules has exhibited in London and Athens, and for nearly a decade has worked as the trusted “ghost artist” for numerous high-profile creators, contributing to internationally recognised projects while steadily building his own body of work. Whether crafting large-scale installations or vibrant new painting, he continues to explore accessible yet layered storytelling, inviting audiences into joyful, thought-provoking spaces.
